Queensland Rugby Union (QRU) has today announced Johnny BIGG as the official formal wear partner of the St.George Queensland Reds.

The partnership will see Reds players and staff fitted a navy suit, with a white shirt, reversible tan/black belt, tan leather dress shoes and black socks. They’ll also dress in sand chino pants for semi-formal events, and for travel during the Super Rugby season.

Johnny BIGG specifically caters for team members who have previously been forgotten, with sizes ranging from XL–9XL in tops (LT–4XLT for tall guys), 36” – 56” in pants (34L”–48L” for tall guys), plus sizes 9–16 in footwear.

QRU Head of Commercial Malcolm Watts said: “We are excited to commence the 2020 Super Rugby Season with a fresh, new, professional look.

“As we continue to move into a new era for Queensland Rugby, it is important that our players and staff honour the traditional values of our game and represent themselves and the organisation in a professional manner.

“The Rugby community celebrates people of all shapes and sizes, and we acknowledged Johnny BIGG as a market leader in this space, providing clothing options for gentleman of the larger and taller variety,” said Watts.

Johnny BIGG General Manager Julian Hayman said: “We’re excited to be announced as the official Formal Wear Partner for the Queensland Reds.

“We feel there is great synergy between Queensland Rugby Union, and what Johnny BIGG has to offer to their players and fans alike, and we look forward to strengthening our partnership over the coming months,” said Hayman.

Johnny BIGG is the only menswear brand in the southern hemisphere offering smart and casual, top-to-toe outfitting for the bigger and taller guy.

Designed with quality and comfort in mind, the Johnny BIGG range offers on-trend, fashionable apparel and footwear all at the right price.
