The Buildcorp Super W play-off between the St.George Queensland Reds and Brumbies Women at Ballymore this weekend has been postponed until the weekend of May 23/24 with all training for Super W to be suspended until May 2 effective immediately.

Additionally, all Academy, State representative teams and State Talent Development programs will be suspended effective immediately until 2 May 2020.

This means that programs and players will not have access to State Union training facilities or group training schedules.

The Super W final is re-scheduled for May 30/31 in Sydney.

There will be a final re-assessment on the decision to continue the Finals made on Monday April 27 at the latest.

Rugby Australia Chief Executive, Raelene Castle said: “Whilst this is a disappointing outcome, the safety and welfare of our players and staff is our number one priority, which is why we have made the decision to postpone the Finals of Buildcorp Super W and suspend our Academies and Pathways teams.

“I’d like to thank the State Unions, players and supporters for their understanding throughout this rapidly changing situation.”
