The Buildcorp Wallaroos have confirmed they will travel to New Zealand to face their biggest rivals, the Black Ferns, in September and October.

The opening Test for the Australian side will be held in Christchurch on Sunday 26 September.

The second match will align with The Rugby Championship and be played as a double-header prior to the All Blacks v Springboks Test at Eden Park on Saturday 2 October.

The two matches will be played almost exactly a year ahead of the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand, providing the Buildcorp Wallaroos a good chance to prepare for the Black Ferns before they square off in the first match of the tournament next year.

Both Buildcorp Wallaroos Tests in New Zealand will be available ad-free, live & on demand exclusively on Stan Sport.

General Manager of Women’s Rugby Jilly Collins said: “After the conclusion of a successful Buildcorp Super W competition, and the selection of a 40-strong Wallaroos squad, we are delighted to confirm the two match Test Series against the Black Ferns.

“Both matches will be vital in our preparation for the Rugby World Cup next year. The players continue to work hard, and I know are relishing the opportunity to play Test match Rugby again.”

“We will also be announcing new dates for the rearranged PacificAus Sports Wallaroos Samoa Series shortly and I can’t wait to see the Wallaroos in action again," Collins said.

Players are currently preparing for the Test match season, training with their squad mates back in their respective States.

Recruitment for the Wallaroos coaches has already commenced with the new staffing team to be in place prior to September.
