Fresh off a $30 million refurbishment, the Amora Brisbane is a top-end luxury hotel featuring 296 spacious rooms and suites ideal for business and leisure stays in the bustling Queensland capital.

Situated in the heart of the Brisbane CBD, Amora Brisbane is just a short stroll from Central Railway Station, Queen Street Mall, Howard Smith Wharves entertainment and dining district plus the James Street high-end fashion and lifestyle precinct. The hotel is a premium accommodation option, elevating the standard for Brisbane hotels.

Queensland Rugby Union Chief Operating Officer Jane Ballantyne said the partnership represented an exciting coming together of two aspirational organisations.

“The Amora Brisbane is a beautiful hotel and the refurbishment really has taken an iconic Brisbane hotel location and raised the bar significantly,” Ballantyne said.

“The QRU is an ambitious organisation, as seen by the ability to agree and ultimately deliver a unique International fixture against Wales at Suncorp Stadium.

"That ambition is matched by the team at Amora. We’re excited to work with such good people in collaboration for such a landmark game of Rugby.”

Amora Brisbane General Manager Rob Unson is excited to work with the team at the QRU to present the first Reds v Wales match staged since 1991.

"Amora Brisbane welcomes the opportunity to be an official partner of the Queensland Rugby Union. Having completed a $30 million refurbishment at the end of 2023, Amora Brisbane provides the ideal facilities for sporting groups in the CBD as well as offering the warmth of home comforts inspired by themes of wellness and rejuvenation," Mr Unson said.

"The property and its facilities seem to be a great fit for the code and we already feel at home amongst rugby's corporate partners. We hope this will be the first of many such collaborations."

Offering a convenient location in the heart of Brisbane's CBD, guest accommodation ranges in size from Standard King and Double Rooms to Premier Rooms and Executive Suites.

Selected rooms are appointed with private balconies overlooking the Brisbane cityscape.

Hotel amenities include 11 sophisticated and flexible function venues, accommodating meetings and social events ranging from two to 280 guests.

The Restaurant serves modern Australian cuisine for breakfast and dinner. The Lobby Bar is an inviting gathering spot to relax over cocktails and appetisers while Two Donkeys Café is ideal for a casual meal or grab-and-go items.

The state-of-the-art fitness centre, sauna and outdoor swimming pool allow for guests to maintain a healthy lifestyle while travelling or enjoy a little relaxation in the Brisbane sun.

In-room comforts range from complimentary high-speed WiFi, flat-screen TVs with additional satellite channels, refrigerator and 24-hour room service.

Residing at the intersection of value, comfort and convenience, Amora Brisbane blends the facilities and services of a branded hotel with a boutique, personalised touch in a central downtown location.

The Amora Group purchased Amora Brisbane in 2020, adding it to a suite of properties that spans six hotels in Australia and Thailand.

Elsewhere in Australia, the family-owned hotel brand operates Amora Hotel Riverwalk Melbourne — which has been on its books for 25 years — plus Amora Hotel Jamison Sydney.
