Australia is set to open its campaign against Ireland at Allianz Stadium in Sydney on 4 July.

They will then face France a week later in Brisbane, with Joe Schmidt’s final game in charge coming against Italy on 18 July at a location to be confirmed.

Following this, Les Kiss’ tenure in charge will begin with a home-and-away series against Japan.

Kiss will kick off his stint as Wallabies coach on 8 August in Japan, before heading to Townsville and Queensland Country Bank Stadium seven days later.

From here, the Australians will head to Argentina for a two-Test series against the dangerous Los Pumas on 29 August and 5 September.

They will host South Africa on 27 September, before the Bledisloe Cup series, with Sydney’s Accor Stadium hosting the second Test on 17 October.

The Wallabies’ Spring Tour will consist of matches against England (8 November), Scotland (15 November) and Wales (21 November), with the Nations Championship Finals Weekend concluding the year.

Tickets for the home matches against Ireland and France will go on sale to Wallabies First members from 3pm AEDT today, Super Rugby club members from 3pm AEDT tomorrow, and the general public on Friday. The remaining venues will be confirmed over the coming weeks.

“The Wallabies occupy a special place in the hearts of Australian sports fans which was evident in the record attendances and huge broadcast audiences across the historic 2025 season,” RA CEO Phil Waugh said.

“The 2026 program will be every bit as exciting with the Wallabies taking on the best of the Northern Hemisphere in the inaugural Nations Championship in addition to massive Flight Centre Series matches against our great SANZAAR rivals New Zealand, South Africa and Argentina as well as the strong Brave Blossoms from Japan.

“These matches will be critical as the Wallabies’ finalise their preparation for a truly remarkable 2027 campaign, which will include a full Flight Centre Rugby Championship and culminate in the first Rugby World Cup in Australia in 24 years.

“The Wallabies sincerely appreciated the overwhelming support of the Australian public in 2025 and the Sea of Gold that turned out across all our stadiums. The whole squad is committed to working hard again in 2026 and beyond to put in performances the country can be proud of.”

“Next year is going to be a bumper Test season for the Wallabies as we count down to the 2027 Rugby World Cup on home soil, so we’re thrilled to be hosting two key matches in Sydney against two powerhouses of international rugby,” NSW Minister for Sport and Minister for Jobs and Tourism, Steve Kamper, added.

“Sydney’s position as the nation’s home of rugby is undeniable – we’ve got the Wallabies’ very first match of the inaugural Nations Championship against Ireland, followed by a potential Bledisloe Cup-deciding match against the All Blacks.

“These matches will not only bring out Wallabies fans from across the country but will also draw overseas fans to the Harbour City, providing an enormous boost to the NSW visitor economy.”

“Securing international matches cements Queensland's status as Australia’s events powerhouse,” Queensland Minister for Tourism, Andrew Powell, believes. “We’re putting Queensland on the world stage as we pave the green and gold runway to the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

“Hosting two Wallabies games in Brisbane and Townsville in 2026 proves our strength and capability to deliver major events that captivate global audiences.

“These games are expected to inject more than $14 million into Queensland’s economy, as fans travel, stay, dine, and support local businesses right across the state.”

“Brisbane knows how to put on a show, whether it’s inside the stadium or throughout the city,” Brisbane Lord Mayor, Adrian Schrinner, stated.

“Every time a major rugby event comes to town, fans get an unforgettable experience and our local businesses feel the benefits too.

“We’re excited to back this new event for Brisbane’s 2026 calendar, creating more to see and do and strengthening our visitor and events economy.”
