Chilli Tonelli-Smith has been swung into the playmaking role at flyhalf by the Queensland Reds Under-16s for Saturday's match at Ballymore Stadium.
The 10am AEST game against the ACT Brumbies is a final hitout to prepare for the Super Rugby U16s grand final against the unbeaten NSW Waratahs in Sydney on November 2.
Tonelli-Smith, a Nudgee College student, missed the start of the tournament through injury but was fed back into the team as a fullback against the Western Force last weekend.
Regular flyhalf Charlie Meredith will come off the bench on Saturday. Brisbane State High's Iverson Anitema will wear the fullback jersey. Karter Iva returns in the centres.
Up front, the rotation of hookers continues with Xavier Hill starting and Noah Gaffney coming off the bench.
The match will be a vital tune-up for the grand final against the Waratahs.
