Biography

A promising backrower, the future for Fraser McReight appears bright as heads into his second season with the St.George Queensland Reds.

McReight enjoyed a breakout year in 2019 as he came off the bench in Round 6 against the Brumbies at Suncorp Stadium for his Super Rugby debut.
 
The Queensland pathway product having represented his state and country at both Schoolboys and U20s level, played three games for the Reds in 2019 before again being selected in the Junior Wallabies squad where he skippered Australia to a Grand Final appearance at the U20s World Championships in Argentina.While named in the Bond University Queensland Country squad in 2017, an ankle injury ruled him out from what would have been his debut National Rugby Championship (NRC) season. He went on to make his NRC debut for Brisbane City in Round 1 of the 2018 season, before he was handed the City captaincy in 2019 and played a further six matches.

Made Queensland debut off the bench against the Brumbies at Suncorp Stadium in Round 6. Played a total of three Super Rugby games, before being selected in the Junior Wallabies squad. McReight was named Australian captain and led his side to a Grand Final appearance at the U20s World Championships in Argentina.

Handed the Brisbane City captaincy and played six matches that included scoring a try against Bond University Queensland Country in Gladstone.
