Eleven of Queensland's best emerging talents have been named in the Australian Under-20s squad announced for an upcoming training camp in Coffs Harbour.

Australia U20s Head Coach Chris Whitaker has revealed a 32-strong squad for the camp which will assemble as part of the Coffs Coast Festival of Rugby.

The camp, from April 4, is an important first step in preparations for the U20 Rugby Championship in South Africa and, later in the year, the Junior World Rugby Championship in Georgia.

The week in camp will climax with an Australia U20s match against Japan U23s on April 11 at the Coffs Coast Festival of Rugby.

Versatile back Treyvon Pritchard, flyhalf Finn Mackay and centre Frankie Goldsbrough are amongst the Queenslanders in the squad. The trio have all been blooded in Super Rugby Pacific.

Winger-fullback Nicholas Conway is also in the Reds squad. Former Australia U18s captain and flanker Tom Robinson made his Queensland debut against Tonga last year. Powerhouse prop Kingsley Uys and lock Will Ross are also in the Reds Development squad which trains beside the Reds squad.

Selection is a strong reward for hooker John Grenfell, a standout in the Reds' unbeaten run through the Super Rugby Next Gen series after his comeback from injury.

Props Jacob Job and Jonah Rangiwai and centre-winger Taione Taka have also earned selection.

"After a competitive Super Rugby Next Gen competition to begin the year, we are pleased to name an exciting 32-man squad for our first camp of 2026," Whitaker said.

"Coffs Coast Festival of Rugby gives us our first chance to start building connection on and off the field.

"We are looking forward to using this week as a springboard to build towards a strong Junior World Championship campaign in Georgia."

Whitaker will be joined by his coaching team of Damien Hill (defence), Jeremy Thrush (forwards) and Matthew Everard/Nic Henderson (scrum) for the 2026 season.
