The Queensland Rugby Union is delighted to announce a two-year extension of the successful partnership with Niltech Consulting which kicked off in 2024.

In 2026-27, the Niltech logo will again be seen across the back of the playing shorts, training shorts and gym shorts of the Reds’ men and women as well as the Queensland Sevens squad.

When Niltech Consulting Founder Nilesh Singh donated a scrum machine to Suva Grammar earlier this month, it reinforced the strength of the partnership. Touring Reds squad members Ollie Harris and Theo Fourie, both front-row practitioners, were there beside him for the school visit on the eve of the Reds vs Fijian Drua game.

The willing duo were happy to show off the Enforcer scrum machine, in the school’s own blue-and-gold colours, to Suva Grammar’s excited First XV captain.

Reds winger-centre Filipo Daugunu was an even bigger hit with the school community on this visit to his homeland.

“I’m a proud old boy of the school and it’s what I’ve always wanted to do…help the next generations coming through,” Singh said.

“At school is where I first found my love of the game and I know that having rugby in common is a wonderful way to build relationships and business connections across the Pacific and Australia.”

Tailoring the right technological investment to clients is a core element of Niltech Consulting.

Brisbane is now one of seven hubs in Australia, Malaysia, East Timor and Fiji for the digital transformation consulting and realisation company. An eighth is scheduled for Papua New Guinea.

The Reds visit to Suva in early May to play the Fijian Drua was a wonderful way to help showcase the partnership with the QRU.

“I see it as a long-term partnership. We work closely with the QRU with a real spirit of co-operation that has extended to players, coaches and technical staff with the way they supported me in going back to my place of birth,” Singh said.

“We were able to enjoy a really meaningful connection in Fiji. The relationship with the Reds opens doors into the wider sporting network.

“A lot of people ask about the connection with the Reds…so we know people are seeing our logo on the shorts.”

Any Reds vs Drua match holds a special significance as it will on Saturday night at Suncorp Stadium.

“I know I’ll be in my Reds colours on Saturday night but I can’t promise the same from the 50 family and friends from the local Fijian community. That might be my daughter in her Drua jersey,” Singh said with a laugh.

Singh said the culture of the Reds was an ideal fit for Niltech Consulting.

“The personal touches and the respect shown to me and my family along the way means a lot,” Singh said.

“I feel the culture at the QRU aligns with that of my own company.”

QRU Chief Executive David Hanham is upbeat at the partnership extension with Niltech Consulting.

“We value the partnership with Niltech Consulting and the genuine passion that Nilesh has for rugby and its values. Growing our relationship with him and his family has been a great experience,” Hanham said.

“The QRU is delighted to have Niltech Consulting as a major part of our partnership network into the future.”
