The Queensland Rugby Union is proud to announce a partnership with iconic outdoor toy and games brand Wahu through 2025.

Like Queensland Rugby, Wahu encourages Australians to get outside and get active, with their extensive range of family-friendly toys and games, cricket sets, pool slides and bodyboards a household staple around the country.

The partnership sees the brand continue their commitment to grassroots sports, while Wahu will activate at several Queensland Rugby events including: Queensland Reds home games, Sevens events including the Santos All Schools Sevens and Santos Rookies2Red Holiday Clinics.

Manufactured and distributed by Goliath Games, Wahu will also provide personalised registration packs for juniors who sign up for the 2024 season.

QRU CEO David Hanham said: “It’s great to partner with a well-known and respected brand like Wahu whose mission and values align to our own.

“Their commitment to getting Australians of all ages, genders, sizes and abilities active is great to see, and is at the heart of what we strive to do with our game in Queensland.

“We’re looking forward to seeing Wahu’s presence at our events next year and have our juniors around the state receive their personalised pack ahead of the 2024 Rugby season.”

Goliath Australia/New Zealand General Manager Andrew Lee said: “The legacy of Queensland Rugby Union is well matched to Wahu’s.

“The state of Queensland is the birthplace of Wahu and we both share a focus on fun and family. And we’re thrilled to be able to promote one of Australia’s most popular sporting teams on and off the field.

“We can’t wait to get started!”
