The Queensland Rugby Union (QRU) has today announced Qoin as a Major Partner for 2021.

Qoin, an Australian based Digital Currency company, will feature on the rump of the St.George Queensland Reds playing shorts, the first sponsor to do so in Queensland Rugby history.

Qoin’s innovation partner Bartercard has a history with the Reds spanning more than 15 years, with Qoin looking to continue their legacy.

Qoin Chief Marketing Officer Andrew Barker said: ““It’s an exciting time for Qoin, celebrating only our second year of operation and we know, through the history with our innovation partner that we will have great opportunities to increase brand awareness and educate the Red’s fan base on this exciting new era of Digital Currency.

“We have some great concepts mapped out with the Reds and we will look to bring some fun to the fans at each home game”.

QRU General Manager (Commercial Operations) Malcolm Watts said: “We’re proud to partner with Qoin, an emerging and exciting company in the Digital Currency space.

“We’re looking forward to continuing our longstanding relationship with Bartercard in a new form and we’re excited about the direction of our partnership in the future.

“This is the first time a sponsor has featured on the rump of our playing shorts and the Qoin logo really catches the eye.

“We believe this asset will drive a positive return for Qoin during this year’s Super Rugby season.”

Qoin will also be the naming rights partner of the ‘Qoin Toss’ at each of the Reds’ six home games in 2021.
