The Queensland Reds have fallen 27-12 to a strong Fijiana Drua side in Round 2 of Buildcorp Super W.

The Drua ran in five tries to two in a comprehensive display at Suncorp Stadium for Queensland Rugby Union’s inaugural Pasifika Round.

Inside centre Malaela Su’a made her Queensland and Super W debut in the loss.

Ivania Wong opened the scoring for Queensland in the 11th minute, the winger dashing 20-metres to finish a well-worked backline sequence in the left-hand corner.

Fijiana hit back with tries to Doreen Narokete and Vitalina Naikore, opening up a 12-5 lead for the visitors by the half-hour mark.

The Drua had another pair of tries early in the stanza courtesy of Jade Coates and Naikore, with Vika Matarugu stretching their lead to 27-5 with 20-minutes to play.

Ellie Draper scored a late consolation try for the Queenslanders, bringing the final score to 27-12.

Queensland are on the road next weekend when they take on the Brumbies at GIO Stadium on Friday 18 March.
