QRU announces Queensland U18s squads against New South Wales

The Queensland Reds U18s squads have been confirmed ahead of next week’s U18s National Academy Games against New South Wales in Sydney.

Two teams, Queensland and Queensland Grey will take on their interstate counterparts on Tuesday September 19 at Southern Districts Rugby Club.

The sides were named following a selection process based on performances across the Queensland club and school rugby season – both of which have now finished up.

Included in the squad is frontrower Trevor King, who missed the clash against New South Wales earlier this year due to Junior Wallabies commitments.

Lehopa Leota, Finn Prass, Charlie Brosnan and Dre Pakeho have also been named after leading Brothers to the Queensland Premier Rugby Colts One premiership in late August.

Both Noah Rauluni – son of former 55-cap Red Jacob Rauluni and Samson Tuquiri – son of former Wallaby Lote Tuquiri, have also been named in the Queensland squad.

The game will form part of the selection process for selection in the next Australia Under 18 squad.
