The Queensland U18s squads have been confirmed ahead of next month’s U18s Academy fixtures against New South Wales at Ballymore.
Two teams, Queensland and Queensland Grey will take on their interstate counterparts on Saturday July 1 in what will be the first matches at the newly redeveloped Ballymore.
The sides were named after a selection process based on performances in school and club Rugby matches across the state, as well as an internal trial at GPS Rugby Club last weekend.
The team features Reds Academy players Frankie Goldsbrough, Dre Pakeho and Avery Thomson who have all committed to Queensland Rugby long term.
Contracted frontrower Trevor King is unavailable for selection due to Junior Wallabies commitments.
Reds Academy Tier One flyhalf Finn Prass and backrower Charlie Brosnan have also been selected alongside several Reds Academy Tier Two players.
The squad will assemble at Ballymore next week ahead of Saturday’s fixtures.
