Two players are eyeing potential debuts for the Queensland Reds in today's Swyftx Super Rugby Women's clash against the Western Force in Perth.

Prop Hayley Glass is on the bench and is set to reboot the Super Rugby Women's career she began at the Melbourne Rebels in 2023.

Her aggressive defence is a feature of the style of play that the Reds en masse must bring to a fascinating match against the Force.

"I've been in Brisbane for three months now. I'm really enjoying it, especially the close connection the girls have within our squad," Glass said.

The proud Indigenous woman said wearing the Reds Indigenous jersey for today's away game added a special extra to the occasion.

Late changes have created an opportunity for 18-year-old Charity Wightman-Beaven to come onto the bench for a potential debut.

Starting flyhalf Akira Kelly was a late withdrawal with flu which has prompted Harmony Vatau's move to No.10 where she played for Samoa at last year's World Cup.

In the reshuffle, it brings Briana Dascombe in from the wing to outside centre and creates a chance for Aroha Spillane to shift from the bench onto the wing.

The vacancy on the bench has been filled by the talented Wightman-Beaven, who finished her schooling last year at Moreton Bay College, the same school that produced Wallaroos and sevens star Shannon Parry, the Reds assistant coach.

Up front, Jordan Neal comes in at prop after World Cup Wallaroo Bree-Anna Browne tweaked her hamstring at training on Thursday night.
